Fugro wins geotechnical contract for Taiwan’s 600 MW FengMiao II offshore wind farm
It supports Taiwan’s goal of 13.1 GW offshore wind capacity by 2030.
Fugro has secured the geotechnical site investigation contract for the 600 MW FengMiao II Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).
The project is part of Taiwan’s Round 3.2 offshore wind programme and supports the country’s target of reaching 13.1 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030.
Fugro will carry out offshore geotechnical investigations off Taiwan’s west coast using its Taiwan-flagged vessel Pacific Hornbill.
The vessel is equipped with a C30 marine drilling rig, WISON® MkV EcoDrive testing and sampling tools, and the SEACALF® MkV Deep Drive® system for seabed and downhole data collection.
The fieldwork campaign is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026.
“This award demonstrates the trust CIP places in Fugro’s proven track record of delivering high‑value geo-data solutions to offshore wind clients in Taiwan since 2016,” said Safri Drahman, regional business line director Asia Pacific at Fugro.
