India issues nearly 3 GW of renewable energy tenders in November

Meanwhile, around 1.9 GW of capacities were allocated to various developers.

Over 2,700 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy tenders were issued last month in India, according to JMK Research.

In its latest report, JMK Research said Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited issued the largest tender which was a 1 gigawatt rooftop solar project in Telangana.

It was followed by Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited that invited bids for 500 MW/1,000 megawatt-hour (MWh) standalone battery energy storage systems along with an additional green shoe option of 500 MW/1,000 MWh with viability gap funding support.

One of the tenders issued was a wind project, whilst the rest were solar projects.

The report also said that a total of 1,960 MW of green power capacities were allocated to various renewable energy developers in November. Some of the bid winners were Hexa Climate Solutions, Acme Solar Holdings, and Avaada Energy.
