JSW secures two 800 MW turbines for West Bengal project
JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 30.5 GW.
JSW Energy Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary, JSW Thermal Energy Limited, has secured the supply of steam turbine generators for the 1,600 MW Salboni Thermal Power Project in West Bengal.
The contract provides for the procurement of two steam turbine generators of 800 MW each from Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited, an associate company.
The Salboni project forms part of JSW Energy’s thermal power portfolio, which includes operational and under-construction assets, according to the disclosure.
JSW Energy said its total thermal capacity, including projects under execution, is set to rise to 9,058 MW. The company reported total locked-in generation capacity of 30.5 GW across its portfolio, based on the report.
