Linde signs six renewable power agreements across EMEA and India

PPAs will supply 0.63 TWh of renewable electricity annually.

Linde has signed six power purchase agreements (PPAs) to source renewable electricity for its operations in Europe, Africa, and India.

The agreements will supply approximately 0.63 terawatt-hours (TWh) of renewable electricity annually from newly developed wind and solar assets for the company's operations in Spain, Greece, South Africa, and India.

Linde said low-carbon power currently accounts for around 50% of its global electricity consumption. The company has also increased its active renewable power purchasing to 7.6 TWh in 2025, up 2.7 times from its 2021 baseline of 2.8 TWh.

“By continuing to actively secure new sources of renewable power, we are accelerating progress toward our target to reduce absolute emissions 35% by 2035 and supporting our customers in reducing their own emissions,” said Erin Catapano, vice president of sustainability at Linde.

Separately, Linde said it helped customers avoid 98 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2025, more than twice the greenhouse gas emissions generated by its global operations.
