PETRONAS, Sabah Electricity sign five-year gas sales deal

This involves 16 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

PETRONAS, through Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), has signed a five-year gas sales agreement with Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd (SESB) that will allow the oil and gas company to continue supplying 16 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to the latter.

According to PETRONAS, the agreement was signed op 30 June, whilst a formal document exchange ceremony was held on 1 October.

“This Gas Sales Agreement is a testament to our enduring partnership with SESB and our shared ambition in securing a sustainable energy future for Sabah,” said MPM Senior Vice President Datuk Ir. Bacho Pilong said.

SESB CEO Ir. Ts. Mohd Yaakob Jaafar also said the “agreement is key to meeting the state’s energy demands with reliable and sustainable solutions.”
