Tata Power names Deepesh Nanda as President-Renewables and CEO & MD of TPREL
Outgoing president Ashish Khanna will serve as President of Generation.
Tata Power has appointed Deepesh Nanda as President-Renewables and CEO & MD of subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL).
Nanda will assume the position from Ashish Khanna, who will take over the position of President of the Generation business. The appointment has taken effect from 1 November 2023.
An experienced figure in the energy sector for 28 years, Nanda has been involved with industry partners like GE, Flowserve and Tyco.
Before joining Tata Power, he served as CEO for South Asia of GE Gas Power, supervising operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Nepal. Additionally, he was appointed as President & CEO of GE's Aero-derivative Gas Turbine segment in Asia.

Nanda holds a degree in mechanical and production engineering from Annamalai University and an MBA from the Open University Business School, Milton Keynes, UK.
For the new position, Nandia will oversee the expansion of Tata Power’s renewable energy portfolio from solar, wind, hybrid, and B2C green energy, as well as their digital transformation.
