Indian polyester firm to set up 30-MW wind power plant

Indo Rama Synthetics Limited will set up a 30-MW wind turbine project in Maharashtra through a wholly owned subsidiary.

The project is slated to start commercial operations by March 2013.

The company currently operates a 82.5 MW facility at its polyester complex at Butirbori primarily to meet its captive power requirements. The facility comprises a 40-MW coal-fired plant and 52.5-MW diesel generating sets.
