Thai 1.65MW solar plant utilizes Astronergy PV panels

Munich RE had selected Astronergy's thin-film amorphous microcrystalline silicon PV panels for a 1.65MW solar project in Thailand.

 

"Thin-film cells require less energy to manufacture and can be fabricated by a variety of processes. These key features provide a promising path for more affordable solar cells that can compete with the efficiency of the more common silicon-based solar cell, given the right climate region," commented Dr. Liyou Yang, Astronergy’s CEO
