Thailand's Ratch bags $222m loan for 275MW Indonesian combined cycle plant

The plant is tied to a 20-year PPA with the PLN.

PT Medco Ratch Power Riau, an indirect joint venture between Thailand’s Ratch and RH International Singapore, has bagged a 20-year loan worth $222m for the construction of the 275MW Riau combined cycle power plant in Indonesia.

According to an announcement, the company signed a loan agreement with Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, MUFG Bank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation on 20 March 2019.

Previously, PT Medco Ratch Power Riau signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Indonesia’s PLN.
