ACME Solar and NHPC sign deal for 680 MW FDRE Project

The company secured a renewable energy PPA with NHPC.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a power purchase agreement with NHPC Limited for a Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project of 680 megawatt (MW) capacity.

In a statement, the company said it was awarded the project under the FDRE tender of 1,400 MW issued by NHPC. It will be developed in different locations, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

“The PPA with NHPC reinforces ACME Solar’s commitment to India’s clean energy goals by integrating solar, wind, and battery storage, setting a new benchmark for hybrid energy systems and contributing to a greener future,” ACME Solar said.
