Alstom, Hindustan win Rs 1,843 crore Uttarakhand hydro power project
Alstom bagged a Rs 1,843 crore contract in consortium with Hindustan Construction Company from Tehri Hydro Development Corporation to construct a 1,000 MW hydro power plant in Uttarakhand.
Alstom will supply four 250 MW turbine and generator units and other equipment. On completion, the plant’s electricity output will provide power to the country’s Northern Grid.
“Alstom, in consortium with Hindustan Construction Company, has been awarded a contract worth over Rs 1,843 crore by Tehri Hydro Development Corporation to install a 1,000 MW variable speed pumped storage hydro power plant in Uttarakhand,” a company statement said.
