Australia’s ZEN Energy, ACCIONA Energía enter 10-year PPA

ZEN will buy 34% of Waubra Wind Farm’s total generation.

ACCIONA Energía’s Waubra Wind Farm will supply 200 gigawatt-hours per year to Australian electricity retailer ZEN Energy under the 10-year power purchase agreement the two companies signed.

In a statement, ACCIONA said ZEN will procure 34% of Waubra’s total electricity generation. The capacity of the wind farm in Victoria can power around 138,000 households.

“ZEN is accelerating its renewable energy portfolio strategy,” said ZEN CEO Anthony Garnaut.

“The signing of this offtake agreement with Waubra Wind Farm, along with the recent offtake from Tailem Bend 2 Solar Farm, is just the beginning of our contribution to the energy transition,” Garnaut added.
