DCM Shriram partners with Serentica on 58‑MW project, plans $10.9m stake investment

The project is expected to be commissioned by June 2027.

DCM Shriram Limited has entered into a definitive agreement with Serentica Renewables India 38 to develop a 58-megawatt (MW) peak hybrid renewable energy project in Bharuch, Gujarat.

Under the agreement, DCM Shriram Limited will invest $10.9m (₹1.05b)  in one or more tranches to acquire a minimum 26% equity stake in Serentica Renewables.

“The project is expected to avoid nearly 400,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually and help improve energy cost efficiency,” Sabaleel Nandy, executive director and CEO of DCM Shriram Chemicals, said.

Upon completion, DCM Shriram’s total renewable energy capacity will rise to 176 MW across its two sites in Bharuch and Kota.

The project is expected to be commissioned by June 2027.
