Eurus Energy commences 27.35 MW wind project

The power it will generate will be sold to the Hokkaido Electric Power Network.

Eurus Energy started the operation of the 27.35-megawatt Eurus Tokoro-Notoro Wind Farm located in Kitami City and Abashiri City in Hokkaido.

In a statement, Eurus Energy said the power plant, which consists of seven wind turbines with 4.3 MW capacity each, can power around 16,000 average households.

The project is also expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 30,000 tonnes annually.

Eurus Energy added that the operation of the project brings its wind power generation in Hokkaido to 533.39 MW.
