NLCIL to build ₹25,000-crore renewable projects across Gujarat
The projects cover solar, wind, hybrid, and battery energy storage.
NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat on 12 January 2026 to develop large-scale renewable energy (RE) projects across the state.
The MoU was signed during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Saurashtra and Kutch Region, covering solar, wind, hybrid, and battery energy storage projects valued at INR 25,000 crore.
The proposed projects will be developed under NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), NLCIL’s wholly owned renewable energy subsidiary, supporting the company’s target of achieving 10 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
The Government of Gujarat will facilitate approvals and clearances for timely execution, underscoring the initiative’s role in generating employment, strengthening Gujarat’s leadership in renewable energy, and contributing to India’s net zero and decarbonisation goals.
