NTPC commits to develop up to 10 GW of renewable energy in Maharshtra
This is in partnership with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited.
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) to develop up to 10 gigawatts of renewable energy parks and projects in the state of Maharashtra.
In a statement, NTPC said the project development will include solar, wind, and hybrid facilities, amongst others.

NTPC is the largest power utility firm in India with a total installed capacity of over 76 gigawatts (GW). The company, which currently has 3.5 GW of installed renewables and more than 28 GW under the pipeline, plans to reach 60 GW of renewable power by 2030.
The memorandum was signed by NGEL CEO Shri Rajicv Gupta, and MAHAPREIT Chairman and Managing Director Amol Shinde.
