
Power Grid bags three transmission projects
The company has received the projects’ letters of intent.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has bagged three projects to establish an Inter-State Transmission System under a build, own, operate, and transfer basis.
In a disclosure, the company said it secured the projects under a tariff-based competitive bidding.
One of the projects is a transmission system for the evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ. This comprises augmentation of transformation capacity at Sirohi substation and 765kV D/C transmission lines traversing the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Power Grid also bagged the augmentation of transformation capacity at Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS). The project comprises ICT augmentation works at existing Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS) in Gujarat.
The third project is a transmission system for the integration of Kurnool-IV REZ - Phase-I. The company will establish a new 765 / 400 / 220kV Kurnool IV Pooling Sub-Station and augment transformation capacity at existing C’peta Substation in the Andhra Pradesh.
The project also comprises 765kV and 400kV D/C Transmission Lines traversing Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
