Suzlon to build, operate and maintain 48MW wind farm in India

Suzlon Energy has been tapped by Indian Oil to build, operate and maintain a 48.3MW wind facility in Andhra Pradesh.


The company will be ablt to utilize 23 units of its S88 – 2.1MW wind turbines for the project.

Suzlon Group founder chairman and managing director Tulsi Tanti said This is Suzlon's second project with Indian Oil. The company built Indian Oil's first wind project in the Kutch district of Gujarat in January 2009.

The power generated from the plant will be sold to a local power utility.
