Two power plants to be set up at Bangladesh

Peoples and Venture Energy Resources and Union Consultant and Venture Energy Resources are foreunners to get two power plant projects of 52.50 MW each at Munshiganj and Comilla.

 

Bangladesh's power division will place a proposal to the cabinet committee on public purchase to be held at cabinet division today.

As per proposal, each of the companies will supply per Kwh electricity at Tk 6.96 to the national grid. The power plants will be set up within 12 months and the government will have to spend Tk 38.40 billion for purchasing power from each of the companies for the next 15 years.
