Uttar Pradesh signs MoUs with 4 power groups

 

Welspun, Torrent, NTPC and THDC have signed 4 separate MoU’s each with Uttar Pradesh to set up four 1,320MW power plants.


The companies would invest INR 26,400 crores over the next 4 to 5 years, according to the Economic Times.



Uttar Pradesh Energy Secretary Navneet Sehgal said NTPC and Tehri Hydro Development Corporation have signed MoU’s for setting up 1,320 MW plant at Bilhaur and Khurja respectively. Both would supply 60 per cent of the power generated to the state government.

 

Welspun group would be setting up a 1,320 MW thermal power plant in the district of Ghazipur.
