Victoria approves 600 MW Kentbruck Green Power Hub
This will power 380,000 homes.
Australia has approved the 600-megawatt Kentbruck Green Power Hub near Nelson in Victoria.
According to the government of Victoria, this development means that the project can proceed following the Environment Effects Statement (EES) process.
The wind farm will comprise up to 105 turbines and generate approximately 2,000 gigawatt-hours of renewable energy each year – enough to power around 380,000 homes.
“This wind farm will deliver more affordable, reliable energy for Victorian households by boosting renewable energy supply. We’re helping families keep their power bills down while securing our energy future,” said Minister for Energy and Resources Lily D’Ambrosio.
