Viron to start constructing West Java wind plant

Viron Energy has gotten approval from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry to construct a 30MW wind power plant in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia.

 

PLN renewable energy division head Muhammad Sofyan told Xinhua news agency that a contract will be signed with the developer in the next month.

Construction is expected to last one year. The first phase of the plant would generate 10MW of electricity.

The power generated from the plant will be purchased by PLN for about 9.2 US cents per kilowatt-hour.
