Tepco withdraws plans to add 2 reactors at Fukushima nuclear plant

Tepco will withdraw its plan to build two more reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

 

The vice president of , following its submission of the plan to the government in late March.

''We now think it is impossible to add reactors,'' said Tokyo Electric Power Company Vice President Takashi Fujimoto.

Japan Prime Minister Naoto Kan said Thursday that the government will thoroughly rethink Japan's basic energy supply program, which calls for adding 14 or more nuclear power plants by 2030.
