Its USC technology applied in Jawa 9 and 10 steam power plants has gained national and regional appreciation.   President Director of PT Indo Raya Tenaga (IRT) Peter Wijaya shares what the company is expecting from the implementation of emission-reduction technology following its achievement in the Asian Power Awards 2021.   Recently, PT Indo Raya Tenaga has won two prestigious prizes; Coal Power Project (Silver) and Environmental Upgrade of The Year in Asian Power Awards 2021. The award is not the first as the company previously won the Indonesia Green Award (IGA) 2021 for pioneering eco-friendly coal-steamed power plants by implementing advanced eco-friendly technology.

It is adding more than 14.5GW between 2021 and 2030.

The first phase of the collaboration will involve initial funding of $40.95m

Every 1,000MW of nuclear energy could reduce carbon emissions by 3.1 million CO2-equivalent tonnes per year. 

This will bring down Australia’s coal capacity to 14GW by 2030, the IEEFA reported.

India and Vietnam are projected to increase their wind capacity to 43GW and 13GW, respectively, by 2030. 

The market has some 437GW of additional solar capacity between end-2020 and 2030.

The project was also among the 28 wind farms that met the deadline to qualify for feed-in tariffs. 

It bagged the Environmental Upgrade of the Year - Indonesia and the Coal Power Project of the Year - Silver awards.

These countries ensure 100% energy accessibility and have over 40% reserve margins.

China alone is projected to add 332GW of wind capacity in the next decade.

The LSS3 and LSS4 programmes have expected capacities of 490MW by end-2023.

The power generator’s power purchase agreement is due to lapse in May 2025.

It is seen to bring over 400% capacity growth in wind power in the next decade.

This will contribute to its 10GW gross installed renewable capacity by 2025.

India is expected to double its wind capacity between 2021 and 2030.
