The company’s leadership under Jakfar Sadiq drives digitalisation and operational growth in Indonesia’s power sector.
PT PLN NUSANTARA POWER SERVICES won ESG Programme of the Year - Indonesia in the Asian Power Awards 2025. The recognition reflects the company’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen operational sustainability whilst enhancing efficiency and service quality.
As a subsidiary of the PLN Group, PT PLN NUSANTARA POWER SERVICES has played a key role in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of power generation facilities since its establishment on 30 March 2001. As of June 2025, the company manages power plants in 54 locations across Indonesia, with a total installed capacity of 7,113 MW from 144 engine units.
The company’s leadership, under President Director Jakfar Sadiq, steers significant improvements in business processes and operational performance. He set a target of achieving IDR7t in revenue by 2028 and introduced the vision of “unleashing service excellence, achieve beyond expectation.”
To address challenges, such as uneven personnel competencies and unintegrated processes across departments, PT PLN NUSANTARA POWER SERVICES launched several strategic programmes. These include the optimisation of its Training Development Centre, investments in reciprocating engine simulators for operator training, and collaborations with industry experts to support operational excellence.
The company also strengthened governance by developing generation governance guidelines and implementing structured refresher training. Furthermore, digitalisation efforts were advanced through the development of the INNSIGHT platform, an end-to-end performance monitoring tool, and the enhancement of the Digital Power Plant function (COMANDO) to streamline O&M services.
In addition, PT PLN NUSANTARA POWER SERVICES introduced a structured, systematic monitoring and evaluation system for work plans and key performance indicators. The system encourages divisions to conduct regular meetings at different levels to ensure detailed performance oversight. Corporate organisational structures are also being reviewed to better align with evolving business processes, with evaluations already conducted for supply chain management, engineering, and O&M service units.
