L&T expects electrical business to double by 2015

Larsen & Toubro expects its electrical and automation to grow by 20 per cent per annum until it doubles by 2015.

“Our current business is Rs 3,800 crore and we expect to grow at 20 per cent per annum and by 2015 the turnover will be Rs 8000 crore,” head of its E&A S C Bhargava said here.

The company had secured an order of 1.26 million single phase energy meters from the state government utility WBSEDCL.  Bhargava did not rule out overseas opportunities. He also said in future the E&A business could be under a seperate business
