NTPC takes 160MW of solar capacities in 500MW solar tender

It won 140MW capacity with a tariff of 4.3 cents/kWh.

NTPC won 160MW of solar capacities, comprised of 140MW at 4.3 cents/kWh and 20MW at 4.4 cents/kWh, in Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency’s (UPNEDA) tender for 500MW of solar projects.

According to an announcement, this is the first time NTPC has participated in tariff based bidding of solar projects.

The 160 MW of solar projects will be set up by NTPC under engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode and add to its installed capacity.
