Jupiter to start electricity sales
Leading cable television operator Jupiter Telecommunications Co. said Tuesday it will start selling electricity
to condominiums in December.
The company will receive electricity supply from Summit Energy Corp., an affiliate of major trader Sumitomo
Corp., for the power retail business.
The electricity rate will be about 10 percent lower than ordinary rates for subscribers to Jupiter's CATV and
broadband communications services. Jupiter is aiming to increase the number of subscribers through the launch
of electricity sales.
