Adani unit commissions 130MW wind power in India

The plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement. 

The Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), through its subsidiary Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five Limited, commissioned a 130-megawatt wind power at Kutchh in Gujarat. 

The power plant is under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India at Rs2.83/kWh.

“With the successful commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s operational wind generation capacity has increased to 1,101MW and the total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 8,216MW,” the company noted in a statement.

“This places AGEL’s total renewable portfolio well on track to reach its vision of 45 GW capacity by 2030.”

AGEL added that the plant will be managed by the Adani Group’s intelligent ‘Energy Network Operation Centre’ platform.
