JERA, ADNOC to collaborate on clean hydrogen, ammonia fields

The company aim to work on a value chain in the hydrogen and ammonia fields.

JERA and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) to collaborate on a value chain in clean hydrogen and ammonia fields.

In a statement, JERA said the partnership will also support the business opportunities expansion for both companies.

The two companies signed an agreement in 2021 along with Inpex Corporation and the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation to conduct a feasibility study on hydrogen and ammonia.

“We have discussed ways to further deepen cooperation in the hydrogen and ammonia field and concluded this SCA,” JERA said.

JERA added this will support the company's aim to reach net zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050.
