J-POWER and Yamna partner to develop green hydrogen projects

The Japan-based J-POWER aims to achieve net zero by 2050.

Japan’s Electric Power Development (J-POWER) signed a memorandum of understanding with UK’s YamnaCo to collaborate on developing and investing in green hydrogen and derivative projects globally.

In a joint statement, J-POWER and Yamna will collaborate on such projects which will be based on Yamna’s existing pipeline or start additional projects together.

Specific agreements will be established for any project that they will work on together.

J-POWER aims to achieve net zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 2050 by replacing its coal-fired plants with CO2-free green hydrogen and ammonia power generation.
