Adani Green becomes India's 1st company to surpass 10 GW capacity

It is spread across solar, wind, and wind-solar hybrid projects.

Adani Green Energy has exceeded 10 gigawatts of operational portfolio, the first company in India to do so.

In a statement, Adani Green said its total 10,934 megawatts (MW) capacity is composed of 7,393 MW solar, 1,401 MW wind, and 2,140 wind-solar hybrid capacity.

Its assets can generate electricity that can power over 5.8 million homes and avoid around 21 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

“This achievement is a demonstration of the rapidity and scale at which the Adani Group aims to facilitate India's transition to clean, reliable and affordable energy,” said Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.

Adani added that it is building a 30 GW project in Khavda, the largest renewable energy plant, to meet its goal of reaching 45 GW by 2030.
