Australian Renewable Energy Agency gets new board members

The new appointments include Marianna O’Gorman who will also be deputy chair.

Australia has announced key appointments to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) board to support its role in helping the country transition to cleaner energy.

According to the government, Marianna O’Gorman has been re-appointed to the board and will also assume the newly created position of deputy chair.

Meanwhile, Stephen McIntosh has also been re-appointed as a board member, whilst Angela Karl joins the board for her first term.

Since being established in 2012, ARENA has provided more than $2.9b in grant funding to 763 projects. It has also helped deliver nearly $13.3b in investment in Australia’s renewable energy sector.
