JJ-LAPP and Tonking New Energy to develop floating solar projects in ASEAN

They aim to develop this technology to better fit the needs of the region.

JJ-LAPP, a joint venture between Jebsen & Jessen Group and LAPP Holding Asia, has inked an agreement with Tonking New Energy to fuel the development of floating solar energy across ASEAN countries.

According to the parties, the memorandum of understanding signed “will position both companies to deliver comprehensive floater solutions tailored for floating solar projects in ASEAN.”

Floating solar involves installing photovoltaic panels on reservoirs, lakes, and other water bodies. This technology helps conserve land and enhances energy efficiency through the natural cooling effect of water.

The collaboration will leverage Tonking’s expertise in floating solar solutions and JJ-LAPP’s record in supporting renewable energy projects.
