Avaada to develop 1 GW of renewable energy projects in Bihar
This will include solar and battery storage projects.
Avaada Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Bihar for 1 gigawatt of renewable energy projects across the state.
According to Avaada, it will invest INR 5,000 crore to develop renewable energy projects encompassing ground-mounted, floating solar, community solar plants, and battery storage projects.
“Beyond clean energy generation, this investment will create employment opportunities, attract allied industries, and foster sustainable socio-economic progress,” said Avaada Energy CEO Kishor Nair.
These projects are expected to provide direct employment to 500 people, with production likely to commence within two years after the execution of power purchase agreements with Bihar state agencies and facilitation of land/water bodies by the Government of Bihar.
