NTPC unit commissions 100 MW of IRCON Renewable Power

This brings the total operational capacity of the plant to 400 MW.

NTPC Green Energy has announced the commencement of commercial operations of 100 megawatts (MW) of the 500 MW plant capacity of IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL).

This development brings the total operational capacity of IRPL to 400 MW.

IRPL is a 24% joint venture of Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a 50% joint venture of NTPC Green Energy.

With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group will increase to 7,372.575 MW.
