COP names project leader for South Korean offshore wind farms
Joris Hol will lead the Haesong 1 and 3, and Jeonnam 2 and 3.
Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) has appointed Joris Hol as project CEO of Haesong 1 and 3 and project COO of Jeonnam 2 and 3, its offshore wind projects in South Korea.
“Hol will lead the local project teams, in collaboration with partners and stakeholders, to deliver these projects safely and sustainably,” COP said.
Hol has 14 years of experience leading development and construction for global offshore wind projects. He joins the Haesong and Jeonnam teams following four years as Senior Vice President at COP and project CEO of the Zhong Neng and Fengmiao 1 offshore wind projects in Taiwan.
Under his leadership, Zhong Neng completed construction and entered operations in May 2025 and Fengmiao 1 reached Financial Close in March 2025.
COP is developing 5 gigawatts of offshore wind projects across Shinan, Ulsan and Taean in South Korea. This includes Jeonnam 1, 2 and 3, Haesong 1 and 3, Haegeum 1 and 2, and Taean Wind Power.
