MHI in talks to transfer domestic onshore wind business to J-POWER

The companies aim to complete the transfer by 1 April 2026.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Electric Power Development (J-POWER) are in talks about the transfer of MHI's domestic onshore wind power business to J-POWER.

The companies aim to complete the transfer by 1 April 2026, following the execution of a definitive agreement.

MHI has 40 years of expertise in wind turbine technology, having started manufacturing large-scale turbines in the 1980s.

Globally, MHI has delivered over 4,200 turbines to 11 countries, primarily in North America and Japan, and currently provides after-sales services.
