Local manufacturers strengthen Taiwan's energy competitiveness
Domestic producers leverage local service to compete with foreign suppliers.
Taiwan’s energy sector is seeing strong momentum from local manufacturers as domestic players position themselves to meet growing renewable and industrial power needs.
“We're the biggest opportunity in Taiwan because we can provide our customers locally, the support, especially in service after service and technology,” said Vincent Fan, Director of PrimeVolt Asian Power Devices Inc.
Fan emphasised that Taiwan’s homegrown energy firms are gaining an edge through proximity and reliability, even amidst challenges in regulatory clarity. “The biggest one is government policy. So far, it's quite clear for solar energy. So we still dig out, try to find the right way or right segment to achieve the entire market,” he said.
Fan added that PrimeVolt’s local presence allows it to compete effectively with global providers. He noted that the company’s 20-year service warranty reinforces customer trust and long-term stability in Taiwan’s evolving energy market.
Organised by TAITRA and the Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance (GESA) under SEMI, Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025 was held from 29 to 31 October 2025 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
