Rising orders pressure Fortune’s production capacity

Transformer demand surges as supply constraints push partnership expansion across Asia.

Fortune Electric is grappling with a sharp rise in transformer demand across Asia, creating both growth opportunities and significant supply-chain strain.

Speaking at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025—organised by TAITRA and GESA under SEMI at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center—Supervisor Joey Chen said the company is managing an influx of overseas orders.

“It's an opportunity as it is also very challenging,” Chen said. With demand accelerating, securing long-lead components has become difficult. “We are having difficulty purchasing the long term… component,” he added, noting active discussions with vendors for solutions.

Chen said Fortune Electric’s flexibility gives it an edge. “We try to extend our business… to local power companies and some EPC companies,” Chen said, highlighting expansion beyond Taiwanese clients to strengthen regional presence.
