GE Vernova to supply 28 turbines for 100-MW India wind project
It is expected to support up to 1,500 MW of annual production capacity.
GE Vernova has signed an agreement with Powerica Limited to supply 28 of its 3.8-megawatt (MW)–154m onshore wind turbines for the Botad Wind Farm in Gujarat, India.
The 100-MW project marks the debut of GE Vernova’s 3.8-MW workhorse turbine in the Indian market.
At full capacity, the site is expected to support up to 1,500 MW of annual production capacity, aiming to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities.
The company said the turbines also provide execution excellence with a tubular steel tower and 650T crane installation capabilities for faster and cost-effective execution.
The company has also been certified by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and included on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines.
Deliveries for the project are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
