AGEL powers 1 GW of the 30 GW Khavda Renewable Energy Park

The Khavda Renewable Energy Park will be completed in the next five years.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) operationalised 1 gigawatt (GW) of solar energy at the 30 GW Khavda Renewable Energy Park which is expected to be completed over the next five years.

In a statement, AGEL said the 1 GW solar project was developed in less than 12 months from the start of the construction. This involves around 2.4 million solar modules.

This brings the company’s total operational capacity to 9,478 megawatts, supporting its goal to achieve 45 GW by 2030.

The Khavda Renewable Energy Park is the largest renewable plant in the world, covering an area of 538 square kilometres or five times the size of Paris.

The project will provide over 15,200 green jobs.
