Peak Energy breaks ground 65 MWp solar project in PH

This will generate power enough for around 23,000 households.

Independent power producer Peak Energy has broken ground for its 65 megawatt-peak greenfield solar development in the Philippines.

Located in the province of Isabela, Cagayan Valley region, the project is expected to generate more than 68,000 megawatt-hours of clean electricity each year that can energise around 23,000 homes. It is also expected to avoid approximately 37,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing about 8,000 cars from the road.

The project is planned for commercial operation in the first half of 2027.

Across Asia Pacific, Peak Energy owns about 300 MW of operating assets and 1 gigawatt of projects in development. In the Philippines, alongside utility-scale solar projects, the company operates various rooftop solar solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
