Adani Power completes Lanco Amarkantak Power acquisition

The transaction was approved in August.

India’s Adani Power has completed its takeover of Lanco Amarkantak Power Limited (LAPL) that houses a thermal power plant in the state of Chhattisgarh.

In a regulatory disclosure, Adani Power said the acquisition was completed on 6 September. This was after the Hyderabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal approved the transaction last month.

LAPL operates a 600-megawatt (MW) thermal power plant in Korba District, Chhattisgarh. The company is also expanding this capacity by 1,320 MW under Phase II.
