Coal India’s net profit down 17% in Q3 FY 2024-2025

Revenue from operations was also down.

Coal India has reported a profit after tax of INR 8,491 crore in the third quarter of fiscal year 2024 to 2025, which was down 17% from the same period last year.

In a bourse filing, the company reported that its revenue from operations decreased 1% to INR 35,780 crore from INR 36,154 crore. This was amidst a 2% increase in production to reach 202.02 MT from 198.99 the previous year.

Its expenditures, meanwhile, increased 4% to INR 26,202 crore from INR 25,133 crore.
