India green lights O2 Power Midco and O2 Energy SG acquisition

Both are engaged in renewable energy.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte. Ltd. and O2 Energy SG Pte. Ltd.

In a statement, CCI said the companies were acquired by JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSW Neo/Acquirer), a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited (JEL) which belongs to the JSW Group. JEL is inter alia engaged in power generation and transmission through conventional and nonconventional sources.

Both the acquired companies, through their subsidiaries, are engaged in renewable power generation specifically wind and solar power generation.
