India issues nearly 10 GW of RE tenders in December 2024
Over 6 GW of RE capacities were also allocated to various developers.
More than 9,500 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy tenders were issued in December 2024 in India, latest data from JMK Research showed.
According to its new report, SJVN was the top issuer with a 1.5 gigawatt (GW)/6 gigawatt-hour Peak Power supply tender. It was followed by NTPC’s 1,400 MW utility scale solar tender.
The tenders issued last month were a mix of solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects.
Meanwhile, a total of 6,286 MW of renewable energy capacities were allocated to various developers in December.
The largest tender, a 2,000 MW ISTS connected solar project, was bagged by Reliance Power, NTPC Renewable energy, Hero solar energy, Sembcorp Green Infra, and Blupine Energy.
