
JERA and bp announce leadership for offshore wind joint venture
Nathalie Oosterlinck, currently CEO of JERA Nex, will lead the team.
JERA Co., Inc. and bp have announced the leadership team of their planned 50-50 offshore wind joint venture (JV) JERA Nex bp.
In a statement, JERA said the JV will be a global offshore wind developer, owner, and operator, to be led by CEO Nathalie Oosterlinck, who is currently the CEO of JERA Nex.
The other officials will be bp’s Erin Eisenberg who will be CFO; bp’s Richard Sandford who will be chief development officer; JERA Nex’s Zlati Christov who will be chief investment officer; Parkwind’s Eric Antoons who will be COO; and bp’s Alfonso Montero Lopez who will be chief technical officer.
The parties first announced the formation of JERA Nex bp in December.
“As a leading independent platform for renewables development, the JV will benefit from the strong partnership between the two shareholders that extends beyond low carbon energy,” said William Lin, executive vice president for gas and low carbon energy, bp.
Subject to regulatory and other approvals, the new entity will have operating and development assets totaling 13 gigawatts of potential net generating capacity across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US.
