World Smart Energy Week 2020 launches in Tokyo

It implemented measures to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

The World Smart Energy Week 2020 has opened its doors as scheduled from 26 to 28 February at Tokyo Big Sight.

Organized by Reed Exhibitions Japan, the convention showcases the latest technologies in eight expositions for sectors including wind, solar, battery, fuel cell, thermal, biomass and smart grid. It also includes the second Resources Recycling Expo.

Included in the displays were electric vehicles (EV) and fuel cell vehicles (FCV), self-consumption PVs, and construction technologies for wind turbines.

To minimise the effects of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the show implemented measures including the distribution of masks and hand sanitizers, as well as the use of thermography devices at the exhibition entrances.
