Moser Baer to procure solar modules from First Solar

Moser Baer selected First Solar to supply 25MW DC of advanced thin-film modules for its solar power generation projects in India.

The delivery of the modules is scheduled to take place by June 2011.

First Solar executive vice-president of marketing and product management TK Kallenbach said: "We are pleased to collaborate with a leader like MBCEL to contribute to India's development of clean, affordable, sustainable solar electricity, providing our advanced thin-film technology and expertise in large-scale solar PV systems."

Moser Baer Clean Energy Limited is developing about 300MW of solar facilities in Germany, Italy, US, Australia and India.
